My primary media is fiber -- yarn and fabric. From these I
create rugs,
wall hangings, purses, and throw-pillows.
Some designs are products of our everyday surroundings.
Some are custom-made -- everything from "Can you make me
one of these
but in a different color?" to "My friend is really into
music, can you
make me a guitarist?" to "Here's a photo of my wife, can
you create her
in yarn?" (Of course, fiber folk art isn't portraiture;
designing to a photo
means capturing the essence, not making a duplicate of the
model!)
